Information Visitors Submit
Search Terms
When a visitor enters a name, location, or similar query into a search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Boulder County Inmate Population does not keep its own separate log of those search terms.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the submitted name, email address, message text, and any related details may be kept long enough to read, route, and answer the message. Those messages are not shared outside the organization except when disclosure is legally required.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, this site may receive basic technical information when a page loads. That information helps operate the site, diagnose problems, understand traffic patterns, and protect the site from misuse.

- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on each page.
- Referring website, when available.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the site and to support advertising or analytics functions. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although some site features or partner tools may behave differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used

- Display advertising that may be based on general browsing or interest signals.
Public Records and Outside Links
This site links to Boulder County jail reports, the Sheriff's Records Request portal, Colorado Judicial Branch resources, CDOC, BOP, ICE, VINELink, and other outside resources. Colorado public-records access can involve the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. § 24-72-201 et seq., and the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act, C.R.S. § 24-72-301 et seq., but those laws govern agency custodians, not this private site. Once a visitor leaves this site, the outside website's privacy policy and record-request rules control.
Advertising partners may collect or use activity information across different websites for interest-based ads on their own systems. This site does not control those outside advertising systems.
